Jeffrey S. Brown
Since 1991, Attorney Jeffrey Brown has been trying cases in the Massachusetts Trial Courts, honing his trial skills. Jeff and his team routinely obtain outstanding results for the firm’s clients, including many acquittals in murder / homicide cases. Attorney Brown began his trial practice in 1991 with the Greenfield firm of Ruggeri & Ruggeri and continued with the Greenfield firms of Trudel, Bartlett, Barry, Wilson, MacNicol & Kuzmeski-Jackson, PC, MacNicol, Tombs & Brown, LLP, the Agawam firm of Law Office of Jeffrey S. Brown, and the Northampton firm of Fierst, Kane & Bloomberg, LLP.
Attorney Brown graduated with a B.A. from Westfield State College and a J.D. from Western New England College School of Law. Attorney Brown is member of the Board of Directors of Massachusetts Hockey, Inc. and serves on the Executive Board as the First Vice President. Attorney Brown also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of Hampden County Lawyers for Justice, Inc. and Franklin County Bar Association Advocates, Inc.
TheEdward J. Duggan Award for Outstanding Service award is given to both a Public Defender and Private Counsel attorney and is named for Edward J. Duggan, who served continuously from 1940 to 1997 as a member of the Voluntary Defenders Committee, the Massachusetts Defenders Committee and the Committee for Public Counsel Services. The award is presented each year to the public defender and private attorney who best represent zealous advocacy – the central principle governing the representation of indigents in Massachusetts.
